Roger has 20 years' experience leading technology, innovation and operational departments of ASX100 companies, startups and early stage companies. He has held both technical and strategic roles across all facets of information technology and has been responsible for multimillion dollar infrastructure and software projects, from idea to operationalisation.
Roger has held diverse senior management roles for operational, technology and customer service departments. He is a critical thinker and can quickly come up to speed to understand problems from a customer, business and technical point of view, and able to propose creative and innovative solutions.
Having been responsible for technical professional staff and, and working closely with executives and boards, Roger has steered businesses to meet organisational and financial objectives whilst also translating between "business" and "tech" language.
His personal mantra is to "imagine a better way" when approaching business challenges. Being able to do has allowed Roger to approach business projects from a research perspective, such that they successfully incorporate research methodology to create additional value for the business.
Roger has developed research plans for several startups and early stage companies across Adelaide and has assisted those companies in successfully using research grants to support the funding needs of the business. He uses systems thinking to provide strategic, financial and technology advice to founders allowing their "impossible" vision to be achieved and to unlock value in areas they had not considered previously.
